Italian silver-plated round snack/candy/serving dish with lidded top (ca. 1960s, Italy).
This is a shorter, uninsulated version of fruit and vegetable-formed ice buckets made in Italy and France in the mid-20th century.
Though shallow, this piece can hold ice to stylishly refresh a drink or enhance any tabletop decor.
Features a sculptural stem that serves as the handle for removing the top.
Silver has been newly polished but light wear remains (namely, splitting to the edge from repetitive lid placement and removal, as shown).
