Martz for Marshall Studios Tile-Top Dining Table
This tile-top dining table designed by Gordon Martz for Marshall Studios sits upon four removable walnut, tapered legs and is framed by a thin, walnut border. This is a custom-made, large, dining example (listed separately is the small, occasional / coffee example). While Gordon and Jane Martz were known largely for their design of lamps, there was a small offering of mail-order, customizable furniture available through Marshall Studios. Since these pieces were intended to be shipped, they were designed to be easily taken apart for cost-effective transportability. This table is a rare example given its large size. It’s branded with the manufacturer’s mark on the underside of the table top.
