Early 20th Century American Painted Trunk or Blanket Chest
Wooden trunk / storage chest in maroon and black with a hinged top that opens to reveal three, removable boxes for storage. These boxes, vintage but later additions, can be removed for open storage. Solid brass hardware notes the date of manufacture as Nov 8, 1912. Chest itself is likely circa 1920. Markings / tags present to identify a previous owner. Good, vintage condition with patina to the brass and heavy surface scratches to the paint (particularly to the top, as indicated in the images).
