Unique Danish organic-form lounge chair composed of layers of laminated and bent wood finished with teak surfaces. Superior, modernist form with elegant, clean lines and curvilinear arms. Similar design to Peter Hvidt’s “Ax” chair, with the same ergonomic attention and materials used. However, there is more of a design element to the construction in this example, allowing for more breathing room enhanced by the shorter, sculpted back rest and bowtie stretchers.
Refinished condition; only minor wear remains.
Branded ‘Made in Denmark’ to the underside.
