Elegant and highly functional 1950s American Modern adjustable table lamp in walnut and polished brass. The walnut and brass mechanism loosens the arm and allows for arm length and height adjustment (stem is fixed). The shade is additionally fully adjustable, as shown. The arm and stem show peeling / wear from the sliding movement / friction; brass of shade and base has been polished. Sans slight unevenness to the shade’s finish and light wear to the base’s edge, the polished brass is in very nice condition.
The height can adjust from 12.5″ (stem height) to 23.5″
The length can adjust from 8.75″ to 19.5″

The original vinyl which appears army green or charcoal, light depending, is in good, vintage condition with only light patina present — no scratches, holes or losses. The walnut has been lightly refinished and shows wear to the middle leg, partial frame under the seats, and to the arm rests (as shown). Overall, very good, vintage condition.

Mid-Century American Modern Walnut Desk by Richard Artschwager
Walnut desk by renowned painter and sculptor, Richard Artschwager, who in 1953 designed a small collection of furniture in New York City. These pieces are scarce, as production and scope of design were exceedingly limited.
This desk is composed of two drawers to the left side (one shallow and one double drawer) and three to the right. Finished by lathed, deeply sculpted pulls (one of two examples of drawer pull Artschwager designed).
Conservatively refinished condition; light wear remains (few surface scuffs). Overall, very nice, vintage condition.

Circa 1950s five-drawer chest / highboy manufactured by Lane for their “Rhythm Line.”
The chest boasts clean, elegant lines and sculptural pulls. Features dovetailed drawers, the top including a removable divider.
Top drawer is stamped “Lane Alta Vista, California.”
Very nice, refinished condition but light wear remains (namely discoloration in two spots on the tops of the drawer pulls from where the bottom of the drawer rubbed against them over time).

This American Modern walnut mirror can rest on a surface (supported by its shelf) or be mounted to a wall (the wire has been added, so the mirror is in ready to hang condition). The back is unfinished, and the piece is in good, vintage condition with only a few scuffs to the bookmatched walnut veneer. Glass is clean and free of scratches.

Single-drawer desk composed of a light blue laminate surface with walnut trim, drawer and foot rest, all supported by a black steel base with patinated brass, adjustable feet (ca. 1950s, Italy).
Well designed and crafted with dovetail details and materials thoughtfully incorporated to endure daily, heavy use. Further, the single-drawer design offers a convenient storage option while providing a generous space for leg/desk chair room.
Conservatively refinished condition (walnut has been lightly refinished – black paint, unpolished brass and blue laminate are in original condition). There is some paint loss to the black legs, patina to the brass, and a few scuffs/general wear to the laminate surface and walnut, as shown.
