Mid-Century Scandinavian Modern Hand-Painted Dala Horse designed by Nils Olsson and handmade in a workshop in Färnäs Sweden, an even smaller Mora village than Nusnäs, where most of the Dala horses were produced – hence a slightly less common production (ca. 1960s).
Features hand-painted details in an attractive combination of colors including maroon, green, pink, blue, and yellow.
Very good, vintage condition with only minor wear.
Retains the manufacturer’s label affixed to the underside.

Mid-Century Studio Craft Ebonized Daybed / Sofa

Mid-century daybed composed of a deeply carved and black lacquered wooden base supported by dense triangular feet with tufted back and seat (ca. 1950s, USA). The white wool tweed upholstery, which contrasts nicely with the black frame, and foam are new. There are ebonized spacers that join the backrest to the seat, mirroring the finish of the base.
Black color is original to the frame, but the lacquer has been touched up recently.
H: 30″ x L: 83″ (including frame) / 76″ (cushion alone) x D: 30.25″

Unique 7-arm modernist menorah in painted wood. Retailer and manufacturer tags present to the underside bearing the ‘Svenska hemslojsforeningarnas riksförbund’ (the national league of swedish home-crafts associations) brand.

Mid-Century Teal / Peacock Crackle Glass Decanter by Blenko

This vintage Blenko Decanter with the original stopper is a striking teal / peacock with a crackle pattern and is in excellent condition, free of any chips or cracks. The ‘crackle’ adds a nice texture.
Pontil on bottom is crude (indicative of hand-blown glass, as opposed to mold blown, and commonly associated with Blenko’s works).

Impressive three-fixture solid brass chandelier, circa 1950s. Composed of three large brass pendants with perforations (each fixture alone measures 12.25″ L x 8.1″ Diameter). The wiring connects the brass arm and ceiling cap to the fixtures. Original condition. Measure: Height to ceiling cap / canopy 28.25″.

Condition: Good. Spotty patina to brass, some small dark spots and scuffs. Overall, good, vintage condition.

American Modern floor lamp with brass rod construction supported by a round tubular brass base (ca. 1950s).
Features a brass arm with chrome orb finial (decorative purposes only; arm does not adjust).
The French milk glass shade by CVV Vianne was a later addition to the piece (though of the same period) and has swiveling capability.
Original, unpolished condition with warm patina/wear present as shown. Remains in good, vintage condition. Rewired for US use.

Mid-Century Walnut and Rosewood Executive Desk by Edward Wormley for Dunbar

Edward J. Wormely for Dunbar executive desk in walnut with deeply sculpted inset rosewood drawer pulls, brass shoes, and removable woven cane privacy screen (ca. 1950s, Indiana, USA). Scarcely seen shorter version of the otherwise comparable 811 model, offering an abundance of storage options despite its relatively small footprint (60″ L).
Features two drawers on the left side (a multi-tiered bottom drawer below a shallow drawer and sliding writing surface with brass pull). The right side is composed of a companion sliding writing surface with brass pull and two shallow drawers flanked by a dedicated file drawer. Additionally, there is a lockable pencil drawer in the middle (key present).
The removable privacy/modesty screen is suspended between four brass spacers and shows light patches of cane loss. The walnut has been refinished and light wear remains (a couple of edge gouges, a surface scuff, and one veneer repair to one of the drawers’s edges). Overall, very good, vintage condition with wear commensurate with use/age.
Retains the Dunbar metal tag to top left drawer.

Mid-Century Walnut Filing Cabinet Unit / Chest of Drawers by Steelcase

Walnut filing cabinet / credenza manufactured by Steelcase (ca. 1950s, USA). Known for the incorporation of steel in their products, Steelcase pieces are extremely heavy and durable (not delicate and flimsy in the slightest) and were designed for every day rugged home and office use.
Composed of eight (four small, four large) walnut fronted and steel-lined drawers with beveled edge pulls. The absence of ornamental drawer pulls enhances the modernist aesthetic with clean lines and simple design.
The piece is fully refinished, though some surface scuffs and more considerably gouges to one profile remain (the deep gouges are only present on one side). Remains a stylish yet practical piece designed and built to last.
