Vintage Italian Modern Enamel Smoke Set by Vallenti
$195.00Charming smoke set designed in the 1960s by Vallenti of Italy. Composed of three pieces: two ashtrays and a cigarette holder in beige with sgraffito pattern (lines were ‘carved’ through the enamel in places to reveal the white base color).
Excellent, vintage condition, sans two spots of loss on bottom edge of the cigarette holder.

Myrna Eaton Blue Enamel on Copper Dish
$225.00Spectacular 1960s square enamel on copper dish by Los Angeles, CA enamelist, Myrna Eaton measuring 9.5″ square. This work, part of her ‘jewels on copper’ series, incorporates fusing powdered glass to copper to create a beautiful work of enamel art. The decoration, an asymmetrical, abstract smattering of shapes, almost has a jewel-like appearance with rich luster / sheen (hence the ‘jewels on copper’ title). Composed of bold blues and purples, heavily textured with a linear pattern throughout. There is some light crazing, that can easily be confused for the ‘veins’ that intersect with the pattern.
An exceptional piece of enamel that can be used for serving or purely decorative purposes.
Does not include stand.
Signed ‘Myrna Eaton’ to the underside.

Bernard Langlais Terracotta Lion
$2,600.00Small terracotta lion sculpture by prolific artist, Bernard Langlais. This example is uncommon for Langlais, whose avid exploration of the animal kingdom was largely dominated by his carved-wood sculptures. Although, he worked in all mediums, his ceramic works are less recognized. This striking lion in glazed terracotta boasts hand-painted, red eyes and a coin slot for decorative purposes; there is no way of retrieving the coins. Minor wear / loss to black glaze. Otherwise, in excellent, original condition.
‘BL.’ etched initials to paw (the B is partial).
Originally, from a private Maine collection of Langlais’ work acquired directly from the estate.
Ping-pong ball is for scale.
