C.S. Hammond & Co. 1950s Inflatable Globe on Tripod Stand
$800.00Hammond’s International Globe (circa 1955) composed of an inflatable globe on painted metal tripod base. Images and font are large in scale and very legible. As durable as a beach ball, this vinyl globe is inflatable / deflatable by way of a locking port mechanism located at the top of the globe (clockwise lock / counter clock unlock). Asymmetrical, 3-legged base in black painted metal is nicely contrasted by painted gold feet / tips. Minor paint loss to the base, as photographed; globe itself is excellent. Listed separately is the table-top version.

Italy Carlo Nason for Mazzega Murano “I Numerati Soffiato” floor lamp composed of two hand-blown opaque white “mushroom” globes joined by a central chromed-steel tube, circa 1970s. Dual floor switch allows for full or partial illumination, as shown.
Very nice, original condition with light wear consistent with age / use. Chrome has been polished.

Cartocraft Visual-Relief Globe
Denoyer-Geppert Co. of Chicago, IL ‘Cartocraft 12 inch Visual Relief Globe’ composed of paper gores over plastic, featuring the basic details of a student demonstration globe: International Date Line, Ecliptic and analemma. Adjustable, wood horizon ring rotates away and toward the semi-circular chromed ring, which mounts to an adjustable maple oval base. Dates between 1964-1965. Light surface soiling / scuffs in places along with few blemishes to the wood, but in nice condition for its age.

This floor lamp was designed by Chapman in the 1970s combining Industrial and modern design. Comprised entirely of brass this piece also features the signature bronze finish and dimmer ‘ball’ knob. The shade is fully adjustable, offering full 360 degree mobility. Additionally, the height is adjustable. Beautiful patina / age to this piece. Evidenced by the contrasting brass (heavily patinated vs. clean), this piece was most commonly used on one of the lower height adjustments. Measures: Max height 57.5″ Lowest height 39.5″.
