Vintage Italian Modern Curved Sofa on Brass Splayed Legs
$4,800.00Vintage Italian organic-form sofa with sculptural, winged-arm rests and deeply curved back supported by four brass, splayed legs (ca. 1950s).
Chic, modernist design, presenting well from all angles with its soft, gentle curves.
In need of re-upholstery – as in this case, muslin upholstery is often used as a blank canvas to best exhibit the frame. This muslin was heavily used, even though it was only intended to serve as the base, and therefore shows ample wear (holes/soiling). Seat height/style can be adjusted based on preference, as there are presently no seat cushions (loose cushions can be made, or a uniformly even foam seat can be added and upholstered over).
Cast brass legs show heavy patina/tarnish consistent with age. Much of the wear can be eradicated with polishing.
Possesses design attributes of Gio Ponti, Guglielmo Veronesi, and Federico Munari, but confirmed designer is unknown.
Sourced in Rome, Italy.

Vintage Italian Modern Sculptural Walnut, Brass and Glass Magazine Rack / Stand
$1,600.00Architectural two-tiered magazine/book/periodical stand/rack/table (ca. 1950s, Italy).
Composed of a deeply sculpted stained Italian Walnut frame supporting a tubular brass rail with exposed brass hardware for draping or supporting magazines/newspapers and four panes of tempered glass (the main, central glass wall flanking two shallow shelves and one larger, angled glass panel forming the front of the magazine holder compartment).
The top glass surface is 17″ L x 4″ D and the bottom is 17″ L x 6″ D, so the glass surfaces themselves are somewhat limited to supporting smaller items.
