Franco Albini Woven Rattan Pouf

This rattan pouf or ottoman was designed by Franco Albini for Vittorio Bonacina in the 1950s and is composed solely of bent-rattan weaving. All vertical and ‘cross stitch’ strands are completely intact, and the piece is in excellent, original condition.

Arthur Umanoff Maple and Wrought Iron Bar Cart

Uncommon Arthur Umanoff three-tier rolling bar cart with rush trim, wrought iron frame, and slatted-maple construction. White and light blue masonite sliding doors with leather pulls open to reveal a small storage compartment. Features a white laminate surface and woven rush middle tier with white masonite base. Original caster wheels.
Fully restored condition (including the masonite panels and painted laminate surface). Minimal wear and discoloration remain (namely, the darkening to the wood from metal nail oxidation over time).

Italian Walnut and Brass Valet by Ico Parisi for Fratelli Reguitti

Uncommon Italian valet designed by Ico Parisi for Fratelli Reguitti in the 1950s. Composed of a hanger with brass accents and change or cufflink holder with a double rack on the bottom for shoes, lower bar (presumably for socks) and four caster wheels for easy mobility. Above the middle bar, two brass rods can extended from the change / cufflink holder to accommodate additional ties.
Walnut is in excellent, vintage condition. Brass shows patina / general wear / slight tarnish, as shown.

Midcentury Italian Modern Mahogany Valet

1950s Italian mahogany valet composed of a hanger and change or cufflink holder with a double rack on the bottom for shoes and a lower bar (presumably for hanging socks). The top bar, intended for hanging scarves, ties, or pants can be extended roughly an inch in either direction by pulling out the brass rod.
Mahogany is in excellent, refinished condition with minor unevenness in one place to the finish, as pictured.
Branded ‘Made in Italy’ to the change / cufflink dish.

This Italian maple valet was designed by Ico Parisi for Fratelli Reguitti in the 1950s. Composed of a frame/hanger and change or cufflink holder with a double rack on the bottom for shoes and four caster wheels for easy mobility. The top bar (intended for hanging scarves, ties, or pants) can be extended 1.5″ in either direction by pulling out the brass rod.
Maple is in excellent, vintage condition. Brass shows patina / general wear / slight tarnish to the bar of the bottom shoe rack, as shown.

Early ‘Grasshopper’ Chair by Eero Saarinen for Knoll Associates

Eero Saarinen’s iconic ‘Grasshopper’ chair designed for Knoll Associates. Early example (circa late 1940s), as indicated by the early ‘Knoll Associates’ decal. Composed of bentwood arms / legs in laminated birch plywood which support the upholstered seat / back. Birch is in original condition, and shows only slight wear (minor nicks / light general wear). Seat has been reupholstered in a light grey tweed upholstery and foam has been replaced.
Incredible lines and curvaceous form, this lounge chair is a conversation piece that shows well from all angles.

Paul Mccobb Mahogany and Brass 6000 Series Directional Cabinet

1957 Paul McCobb designed Directional chest for Calvin in bleached mahogany and brass. Despite its relatively diminutive size (48″ long), the chest offers multiple storage compartments (four shallow top and six spacious lower drawers). Cabinet has been refinished to mirror the original ‘sand’ finish, and brass trim has been polished. Small chrome pulls for top drawers have been left untouched and show wear / tarnish, as does one of the brass ‘plates’ on which one of the lower mahogany drawer pulls is mounted. Overall, excellent, restored condition sans aforementioned minor wear.

Midcentury American Modern Walnut Open Bookcase

Organic-form midcentury bookcase composed of three ‘floating’ shelves suspended by a carved walnut support. Lower shelf (base of bookcase) serves as additional storage. There are thin, long slits carved into the back of each shelf for display purposes. However, these incisions can be concealed by books, decorative items, accessories, etc. Beautiful walnut veneer boasts exquisite bookmatching and rich color.
Unfinished back.

Single Vintage Ceramic Table Lamp With Capiz Shell Shade

One sold, one available: striking turquoise table lamp in a crackle glaze finish with solid brass accents. Lamp has been paired with a shade composed of capiz shell (windowpane oysters) secured in a brass frame. Lamp is in very good, vintage condition, with only minor, insignificant spots of wear. Capiz shell shade shows minor spotting / discoloration in places from the original adhesive used in assembly. There is also slight age-appropriate wear. There are no breaks / cracks, and the shade remain in nice, vintage condition.

Danish Modern Teak Adjustable Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Søren Ladefoged

Danish high-back lounge chair and matching ottoman designed by Søren Ladefoged for SL Møbler. The chair can be manually adjusted to two positions. The seat can be shifted into the reclining position by lifting and sliding the seat back until the brackets catch on the back brass bar.
Teak wood has been beautifully refinished, and pale gray chenille fabric and foam are new (close-ups of fabric are more revealing of the actual gray color; fabric in group shots of chair and ottoman appears whiter / lighter than it is).

Set of Eight Dining Chairs by Paul McCobb for H. Sacks and Sons

Rare set of Paul McCobb for H Sacks & Sons dining chairs (two captains and six side) composed of hand-carved walnut frames with sage velvet upholstery (front and back) in place of the original caned back. Set boasts dramatic lines with the sculpted / curved armrests and tapered / angled feet. Frames have been fully restored, and the velvet / foam is new.

Early Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel ‘Ring’ Chair in Suede and Teak

Original Danish ‘Ring Chair’ often referred to as the ‘Pølse Stol’ (Sausage Chair) designed by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel for Kold Savvaerk in 1958. An early example (model 114) in stained teak recovered in an off-white suede (the foam has additionally been replaced).
Vivid grain and rich, dark stained-teak color contrast beautifully with the off-white suede.
Retains the Danish control tag, indicating manufacturer and designer: Kold Savvaerk Kerteminde Møbelfabriken A/S Design: Nanna Ditzel.
