Large Swedish Dala Horse by Nils Olson

This Swedish Folk Art ‘Dala’ horse was designed by Nils Olson in the 1960s. This is an uncommon large example with exceptional hand-painted decoration. Retains the original sticker on the underside.

Swedish ‘Scissor’ Chair by Folke Ohlsson for DUX

This teak example of Folke Ohlsson’s ‘Scissor Chair’ boasts sculptural, severe lines (best seen from the profile view) contrasted with a simple, Classic slatted back design. The straps have been replaced and the cushions have been remade in a vintage black and red Hudson Bay Blanket. The frame retains the DUX metal decal.

Swedish Modern Cased Glass Lamp by Laurel

This elegant frosted / cased table lamp was manufactured by Laurel in the 1960s. Despite being primarily an American company, Laurel hired designers from Europe (in this case, the designer is unknown, but the piece retains the ‘made in Sweden’ sticker). The chrome bolts at the base loosen the base to change the bulb. Newly re-wired with on / off switch. Beautiful, simple design.

Swedish Nightstands in Brass and Stained Mahogany by Axel Larsson for Bodafors

This pair of mahogany two-drawer nightstands was designed by Axel Larsson for Bodafors Sweden in the early 1950s. Likely a custom pair, these have been restored to match the original red stain. Additionally, the circular brass pulls are original. Set retains the retailer tag on the back, as well as the ‘Bodafors’ decal in the top drawer of both pieces.

Swedish Teak and Birch Round ‘Annika’ Coffee Table by Bruno Mathsson

This Bruno Mathsson ‘Annika’ coffee table is composed of three elegantly sculpted birch legs which anchor the circular, teak top. The detail, richness and warmth of the teak is nicely contrasted with the lightness and simplicity of the birch. Note that this is a wider version of the Mathsson three-legged round table (41.5″ diameter x 16.25″ height). Signed with branded manufacturer’s mark to underside: ‘Bruno Mathsson Design Made in Sweden Firma Karl Mathsson Made In – Varnamo – Sweden.’

Swedish Teak and Leather Hunting Chair Model #204 by Uno and Östen Kristiansson

Wonderful example of the Uno and Östen Kristiansson ‘Hunting Chair’ for Luxus Vittsjö of Sweden. Simple form with exaggerated back legs and leather sling seat with decorative chrome-plated steel buckle. Nice patina to the original, black leather; teak frame has been fully restored.
