Mid Century Italian Modern San Marino Fat Lava Ceramic and Enamel Pitcher

Circa 1960s Italian ceramic pitcher produced in San Marino (a small, independent republic within Italy) by Ceramica Titano (1952-1981). Features a highly-textured ‘fat lava’ glaze, one of San Marino’s signature finishes. ‘Effetto Lacca’ (enamel effect) was incorporated in the hand-decoration of the piece and depicts a female face on one side and flowers on the other.
Striking piece boasting vibrant colors and modernist, highly designed form with dramatic lines.
Stamped signature: “Ceramica Titano, Italy, Rep. San Marino”.

Lovely decanter set of seven pieces: one carafe and six small tumblers, all in slate gray ceramic with white volcanic-textured mottled surfaces. Interiors are all glazed in a high-gloss orange. Likely, 1960s West German (given the composition). Unsigned.
Few flecks to tumblers, which blend into the white lava drip finish (no real losses).
