Paul McCobb for Winchendon Maple and Iron Console / Coffee / Media Table
Uniquely sized table by Paul McCobb for Winchendon composed of a solid maple inset top and corresponding dual drawers with a painted wrought iron frame. Measures 22″ D x 24″ H x 60″ L, suitable as a high coffee table or media table (Tv / record stand) given its dimensions.
Paint is original and shows minor wear in places; top has been refinished and only shows one split at the end (naturally occurring and common in solid maple planks).

Paul Mccobb Mahogany and Brass 6000 Series Directional Cabinet
1957 Paul McCobb designed Directional chest for Calvin in bleached mahogany and brass. Despite its relatively diminutive size (48″ long), the chest offers multiple storage compartments (four shallow top and six spacious lower drawers). Cabinet has been refinished to mirror the original ‘sand’ finish, and brass trim has been polished. Small chrome pulls for top drawers have been left untouched and show wear / tarnish, as does one of the brass ‘plates’ on which one of the lower mahogany drawer pulls is mounted. Overall, excellent, restored condition sans aforementioned minor wear.
Retains both paper and metal manufacturer’s tag: Calvin Grand Rapids The Calvin Group Designed by Paul McCobb.

Paul McCobb Maple Extendable Dining Table
This minimal maple dining table was designed in the 1950s by Paul McCobb as part of his ‘Planner Group’ for the Winchendon Furniture Company. The table without leaves is 60″ L. Each leaf is 12″ L, and the total length when fully extended is 84″. The height from floor to apron is: 27.75″. Expertly restored to its original honey maple finish. Excellent condition with one small repair to fill a spot of loss to one of the edges. Retains original ‘Paul McCobb Planner Group Winchendon’ label.
Condition: Excellent. Small repair to edge (see photos). very minor. otherwise, excellent, restored condition.

Paul McCobb Planner Group Round Extension Dining Table
Paul Mccobb designed this ebonized maple dining table for the Winchendon Furniture Company as part of his ‘Planner Group’ series in the 1950s. Comes with two 15.25″ long leaves, bringing the total length from 42.25″ to 72.75″ (with one leaf in place, the length is 57.5″L). Original ebony finish (unrestored). Good, vintage condition sans light surface scratches. Available separately is a set of six Mccobb ebonized ‘bow-tie’ dining chairs.

Paul Mccobb Planner Group Stained Maple Bench with Cabinet
Stained-maple single drawer cabinet on bench designed in the 1950s by Paul McCobb for Winchendon Furniture. Cabinet features a sculptural brass pull, and minimal base is supported by turned, tapered legs.
Versatile design: the module on top can slide / be placed anywhere along the bench. The relatively light-weight cabinet can also be removed, and the base can stand alone as either a low bench or coffee table. As configured, works well as an entryway / foyer / boudoir bench with adequate cabinet storage for accessories.
Both pieces have been refinished, but scratches and light wear (particularly to the base from excessive ‘sliding’ / use) remain. Branded ‘Paul McCobb design Planner Group by Winchendon.’

Paul McCobb Travertine and Brass Occasional Tables
Pair of 1950s Paul McCobb for Directional side / occasional tables composed of tubular brass frames / brass feet and square, travertine tops. Brass is in beautiful, polished condition; showing only minor wear (light spots remain post-buff and polish that are faint). Travertine is in good, original condition free of chips / cracks / loss.
Travertine tops are a light beige with subtle pink undertones and yellow speckles.

Set of Eight Dining Chairs by Paul McCobb for H. Sacks and Sons
Rare set of Paul McCobb for H Sacks & Sons dining chairs (two captains and six side) composed of hand-carved walnut frames with sage velvet upholstery (front and back) in place of the original caned back. Set boasts dramatic lines with the sculpted / curved armrests and tapered / angled feet. Frames have been fully restored, and the velvet / foam is new.

Set of Eight Stained Mahogany and Cane Directional Dining Chairs by Paul McCobb
Set of eight (two arm and six side) Paul Mccobb Directional dining chairs produced by H. Sacks & Sons of Boston, MA for their Connoisseur collection in 1956 (model number 7001 side chairs and 7009 arm chairs). Stained mahogany sculptural frames with cane-back head rests and newly upholstered linen seats, which beautifully complement the caning. The base stretchers are adorned with brass accents on both sides.
Excellent, restored condition (frames have been expertly refinished and linen upholstery / foam are new). The caning was replaced within the last decade and is sound.

Shapely backrests and long tapered legs add dramatic lines to an otherwise modest design. Maple has been refinished and stained to better reveal the magnificent grain of the wood.
Solid, durable construction with side spindles that tie the legs together for additional structural integrity.
Reupholstered in a light mint-green leather.
Retains the foil manufacturer’s labels.

Set of Ten Orange ‘Contempri’ Bowls by Paul McCobb for Jackson Internationale
Noted Mid-Century Modern furniture designer, Paul McCobb, also designed a line of dinnerware called ‘Contempri’ for Jackson Internationale, a subsidiary of Franklin China of Falls Creek, Pennsylvania. This set of ten small bowls, measuring 5.5″ in diameter, is in the ‘Bounty’ pattern, boasting a bright orange exterior and white interior. Excellent, vintage condition sans one small area of fading to one of the bowls, as pictured.
