Norwegian Modern Teak Settee / Daybed Edvard Kindt Larsen for Gustav Bahus

Norwegian modern daybed / settee designed by Edvard Kindt Larsen for Gustav Bahus with two 12″ extendable surfaces or ‘wings’, which can either be used as side tables or to create a longer divan bed. The back frame is fixed, but the seat can open on a hinge to reveal an additional canvas-lined storage compartment for blankets / accessories.
The gray wool upholstery is new, as is the foam, and the frame has been refinished. Excellent, vintage condition. Only slight soiling to the canvas lining of the storage compartment under the seat along with a few insignificant nicks to the back rail.

Norwegian Sage ‘Lotus’ Enamel Bowl by Arne Clausen for Cathrineholm

Norwegian Modern Cathrineholm sage green enamelware bowl in signature lotus pattern.
Though Grete Prytz Kittelsen was responsible for form and color design, Arne Clausen is attributed as having designed the ‘lotus’ pattern for Cathrineholm.
The bowl is in very good, vintage condition. Interior shows light scratches, edge shows some wear and one minor ‘fleabite’ to the interior rim, and underside shows ring wear. Overall, nice vintage shape.

Pair of blue and white ‘lotus’ enamel chargers / plates / platters by Cathrineholm or Norway.
Though Grete Prytz Kittelsen was responsible for form and color design, Arne Clausen is attributed as having designed the ‘lotus’ pattern for Cathrineholm.
Both plates are in very good, vintage condition with only a couple of white spots / streaks of wear, as pictured (extremely minimal / hardly noticeable).

Pair of Green Lotus Enamel Frying Pans by Cathrineholm

Pair of Norwegian Cathrineholm ‘Lotus’ enamel skillets / frying pans with wooden handles.
Though Grete Prytz Kittelsen was responsible for form and color design, Arne Clausen is attributed as having designed the ‘lotus’ pattern for Cathrineholm.
These skillets are in very nice, vintage condition. Interior shows light wear (one pan interior shows slight discoloration, while the other shows light scratches). There is edge wear / loss to one of the pans, and the green lotus pattern shows one spot of loss. Any handle dryness
/ wear will be eradicated prior to shipping. Overall, these are in nice, vintage shape with only minor wear.

Pair of Vintage Norwegian Crackle Enamel and Stone Winking Owls

This unique pair of owls is composed of crackle enamel encased in resin and stone.
There is a piece of wire attached in the back, so these can be hung, stand alone (even used as bookends), or lie flat. The slots between the feet also indicate that these can be used as ashtrays (although the surfaces are in nice shape, and do not appear to have been used as such).
There is minor loss to the purple owl’s left ear and foot. There are some light scratches to the enamel (mostly just results of the crackle effect / pattern).
They are signed ‘EMS Handmade Norway’ on the back.

Unique patterns and textures, incorporating hand-painted geometric and floral details with sgraffito etching of the grid-like pattern bordering the central floral decoration.
Attractive colors of pink, black, green, and white employed.
Excellent, vintage condition.
Signed and numbered on the reverse.

1960s Norwegian Enamel Plates / Small Serving Platters by Cathrineholm in blue and orange. These plates measure .75″ H x 7.5″ Diameter, and are ideal for salad / snack plate use, or for serving small hors d’oeuvres.

The plates are in good, vintage condition (the orange, in nicer shape than the blue). The blue plates are slightly dull from use and show light scratches and edge loss. The orange plates show only minor wear, as pictured.

Vintage Norwegian Modern Loveseat in Leather and Teak by Fredrik Kayser

This two-seat sofa was designed by Fredrik Kayser for Vatne Lenestolfabrikk (ca. 1960s, Norway).
Magnificent frame in sculpted teak with armrests resembling two conjoined cul-de-sacs.
Solid patinated brass posts connect the seats to the frame in the back.
The original design offered two options: one with two contoured, floating seats (as is the case with our model) and a version in which the seats are combined to form a single, continuous seat / back (more commonly seen). We preserved the original design by maintaining two separate seats.
The amber-tan leather and foam are new.

This design (defined by the fruit tree and olive green border) is part of the ‘Corsica’ series. This piece can be displayed on a table top for decorative purposes or used as a server.

It is in excellent condition.
