Pair of painted plaster mold lion bookends manufactured by Progressive Art Products (1965, USA).
Set retains the original gold paint, which shows a few spots of lightening. Beautiful, rich patina.

Composed of solid maple seats with sculpted edges and deeply carved backrest supports housing turned, ladder-back spindles, all supported by wrought iron framework.
Conservatively refinished condition with scuffs and a naturally occurring split to the maple, as shown. Structurally sound.

Pair of Mid-Century Modern Stained Mahogany and Brass Two-Drawer Nightstands
$3,600.00Stylish, practical nightstands/chests/besides/end tables in stained mahogany on rosewood plinth bases (ca. 1960s, USA).
Each nightstand features four brass pulls which open to reveal two, sizable, dovetailed drawers (two drawer pulls correspond to one drawer – there are two double drawers per chest).
The design, craftsmanship, and quality of materials are akin to woodworkers from the New Hope School, including George Nakashima.
Though the maker is unknown, each chest retains the retailer tag to the top drawer (Solesto Furniture Showrooms 227 Canal Street New York, NY).
Very good, refinished condition, though light wear remains (patina to polished brass, a gouge and scuff to one surface, and light, general wear).

Candle holder orientation can be changed to accommodate two different candle diameters (screws can be loosened in the back, spun 180 degrees and tightened to display the smaller holder in an upward position).
Very good, vintage condition – unpolished brass candle holders display rich patina/tarnish and aluminum frames only show a couple of spots of wear, as pictured.

Pair of Mid-Century Modern Three-Legged Wrought Iron Low Stools
Pair of 3-legged low iron stools with oversized metal feet with gold-painted trim detail. Plywood seats have been reupholstered in a multi-color tweed fabric. Nice, vintage condition with only minor wear to the frames. Reminiscent of designs by both Tony Paul and Arthur Umanoff, but unsigned, circa 1950s.

1960s American Modern sculptural bookends in stained pine. Handsome, dark finish with only minor wear consistent with age (few scuffs to wood; paint loss to black metal, which is concealed by books when in use).

Pair of Mid-Century Stiffel “Rocket” Table Lamps in Brass
$3,200.00Matched pair of glamorous Mid-Century Modern “Rocket Lamps” by Stiffel in patinated brass (ca. 1960s, USA).
Slightly different lighting capabilities between the lamps (and hence a visual difference that can be concealed by lamp shades) due to a difference in sockets – one lamp features a 3-way triple-socket/switch mechanism, capable of three different illumination settings. The second has a a dual socket/pull string function that only allows each bulb to be turned on individually or both simultaneously. Both retain the Stiffel patented pole switch, which allows one to manually turn on and off the light by pulling down on the stem’s shaft (see video for demonstration).
Unpolished condition with rich patina/tarnish spots. Wiring has been updated.
Shades are for demonstration purposes and are not included. The shades measure H: 12.13″ x Diameter: 14″ (for reference only).

Pair of Mid-Century Stone and Brass ‘Bullet’ Planters
Sculptural pair of stone bullet form planters supported by brass hairpin tripod bases. Unique, elegant form. Stone shows minor wear (discoloration and scuffs). However both vessels are free of cracks and chips. Nice patina on the brass bases. Production number ‘1648’ etched into rim. Planter without the base: Diameter 8.2″ x height 20″.
