Ingenious design, marrying form and function designed with a useful adjustability function without compromising style. Specifically, there is a metal bracket at the top of the stem, enabling the socket/shade component to adjust, allowing the light to be directed in any direction.

Italian Modernist Aluminum “Mela” Ice Bucket by Ettore Sottsass for Rinnovel
Mid-Century Italian Modern “mela” (“apple” in English) ice bucket by Ettore Sottsass for Rinnovel (1953, Italy). Early, large example (there were a few different sizes made, including a much smaller apple, also available) composed of silver anodized aluminum with a rose-gold tinted interior and brass-color stem, which serves as the handle for removing the top.
Aluminum has been newly polished but shows wear (scuffs, one impression, and spots of oxidation/discoloration to the lid, as shown). Overall, good, vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use.
Branded “Made in Italy.”

Brass finish has rubbed off in places from natural aging along with general wear, and leather holder shows patina/wear consistent with age and use.

Italian Modernist Ceramic Floor Lamp with Brass Tripod Base
Italian floor lamp composed of clusters of sculptural ceramic adornments separated by brass brackets, all supported by a splayed tripod base (ca. 1960s).
Paired with an oversized, vintage drum shade, which shows light wear (one patch of discoloration, as shown).
Very unique, visually striking lamp with attractive, bold color combinations of the glazes employed which are further enhanced by the luster of the brass accents.
Light tarnish to the brass, as shown, along with aforementioned spot on the shade. Overall, very good, vintage condition.
Retains the original three-bulb socket, but newly rewired for US use.

Italian Modernist Glass Top Console Table in Lacquered Steel and Walnut
Slim, modernist console table with glass surface composed of a walnut slatted surface supported by black lacquered steel frame with a lower gray asymmetrical laminate tier (ca. 1950s, Italy).
Light wear present (small scuffs to wood, couple of light scratches to glass, and minor laminate loss to lower surface). Overall, very good, conservatively refinished condition.
Brass feet are adjustable.

Italian Modernist Ice Bucket in Brass and Dyed Goatskin by Aldo Tura
Aldo Tura brass and goatskin insulated ice bucket in a dyed brown/red hue lacquered with an acrylic finish (ca. 1950s, Italy).
Retains the styrofoam on the lid’s interior to help insulate the ice.
Brass has been polished but shows scratches/spotting consistent with age/use. Interior is clean, and goatskin shows very minimal wear.

Italian Modernist Lacquered Walnut and Plastic Coat Stand by Luigi Sormani
Luigi Sormani coat stand in lacquered walnut veneer, plastic, and laminate components (ca. 1970s, Italy).
Composed of white laminate folding doors with plastic hooks on both sides supported by a dual-umbrella holder and lacquered walnut veneer plinth.
Very good, vintage shape with only light wear to the white components (slight edge discoloration and few nicks to the umbrella holder) along with a few scuffs to lacquered veneer base, as shown.
Dramatic foyer/entryway piece that is practical as it is stylish.
