Brazilian Modern Jacaranda and Leather Swiveling Lounge Chair by Jorge Zalszupin

Rare Jorge Zalszupin Brazilian modern armchair composed of bent jacaranda arms and back with black leather seat, back and hand rests. Supported by a stainless steel swivel base. Features a wide seat for added comfort. A true statement piece with a remarkable sculptural form and exceptional jacaranda grain and color. Completely restored (wood has been refinished and leather, which was redone roughly five years ago, has been conditioned with new firm foam).

Measures: Arm height 22.5″ Depth dimension provided reflects the base’s measurement; the depth of the chair itself (front of seat to back of frame) is 21″.

Sculptural coffee table designed by Percival Lafer composed of a visually striking copper patchwork/mosaic surface supported by deeply carved Brazilian Rosewood bases with exposed metal hardware. Coated in dense epoxy, the surface is perfect for heavy usage.
Thoughtful design contrasting the vibrant, detailed surface with the airiness of the open sections on either side framed by the rosewood bases.
Copper shows natural patina and scuffs from use; rosewood has been newly refinished and shows only minor wear.

Brazilian Modern Rosewood and Leather Modular Sofa or Settees

Brazilian low, modular sofa set in rosewood that can form one four-seat sofa, two settees, or a single chair with a three-seat sofa, circa 1960s. Very unique form reminiscent of a design by Jorge Zalszupin but unattributed / unsigned. Rosewood has been refinished and caramel leather and foam are all new.
Includes various configurations of feet / caster wheels: one piece has four casters, two pieces have three casters and one cylindrical foot, one piece has two cylindrical feet at two casters (all can be switched around). This combination of wheels and feet allows for easy mobility while offering stability.

Brazilian Modernist Brass Rhino by Alvaro Franklin da Silveira

Brass rhino sculpture designed in the 1970s by renowned Brazilian sculptor, Alvaro Franklin (Urandi, Bahia, 1935-2020).
Having learned forging and foundry methods from his grandfather, Franklin is most recognized for his metal and marble sculptural works, despite being an accomplished artist in other mediums.
Visually striking, modernist decorative object with good age/patina present, despite having been recently polished. There are spots of tarnish and scuffs, as shown.

Brushed Aluminum Floor Lamp by Paul Mayen for Habitat

Vintage Paul Mayen for Habitat reading/floor lamp composed of a cylindrical brushed-aluminum shade mounted to a chrome shaft on a round painted steel base. Fixture features three options for adjustment including the fixture itself from left to right while the lamp arm also moves left to right as well as a near 360 degree swivel allowing overall adjustability. The push button on/off switch is nicely concealed on the top of the fixture. The beige textured paint on the circular base shows minor loss. There is also minor wear to the aluminum shade (two small impressions in the aluminum). In otherwise excellent, vintage condition.

Brutalist Four-Panel Credenza by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates

This unique credenza in the Brutalist style of Paul Evans was designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates and is composed of molded resin decoration in gold and bronze tones over a wooden frame. The ‘push’ latch mechanisms open and close each door with a simple motion. The doors open to reveal two fixed shelves (one/side) and a sizable middle drawer. The piece retains its original black paint on the surface, plinth base, and back, although there is minor loss to the back. The matching wall-mounted bar will be listed separately.

Brutalist Wall Mounted “Disc” Bar by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates

Brutalist wall-mounted disc bar designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates inspired by the PE-122 bar designed by Paul Evans (ca. 1970s, USA).
Bar features two doors of sculpted resin over wood concealing a cabinet with two adjustable/removable shelves and a polished chrome sheet metal backing (appearing as a mirrored back). Luxurious, striking conversation piece with rich bronze and gold tones and intriguing incorporation of abstract shapes, linear patterns, and dense textures.
There is a back lip running the length of the cabinet itself that can be mounted to a wall-mounted ledger board. We have custom cut a ledger board, which can be included with the cabinet upon request.
Very good, conservatively restored condition with only light wear remaining: there are a couple of streaks to the original paint on one side of the cabinet itself along with a bend to one side of the chrome sheet metal backing, as shown.
