Scandinvanian Daybed in Oak After Finn Juhl

Denmark daybed in solid oak with a plaid cushion in white, orange, and red (vintage, although likely not original). Modest form with slat construction supported by oak tapered legs, circa 1960s.
Cushion is thinned out from use and could benefit from reupholstery. Additionally, there is roughly a 1.5″ separation on each side between frame and cushion, as shown. Frame has been refinished and is in very good condition.
Same example in teak has been attributed to Finn Juhl for Bovirke; this one is unsigned / unbranded.

Sculptural French Fat Lava Ceramic Table Lamp by Louis Giraud, Vallauris France

Ceramic table lamp produced by Louis Giraud for his eponymous studio, ‘Poterie d’Art Giraud’ (Vallauris, France, ca. early 1950s). Giraud’s sculptural works were often seen in thick lava glazes.
This piece is a fine example showcasing Giraud’s incorporation of a dense volcanic glaze, referencing the incrustations left by mollusks. Unique three-vessel organic-form in appealing, neutral palette.
Incised signature present: “Giraud Vallauris.”
There are no losses to the ceramic base; there is only light edge wear to the shade (a later addition).
Currently wired for European use; will be presented newly re-wired for US use, if required.
