Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen Egg Chair and Ottoman Distributed by Knoll

Originally designed in 1958 for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, this 1999 authentic production Arne Jacobsen egg chair and corresponding ottoman were manufactured by Fritz Hansen and distributed in the United States by Knoll.
Biomorphic design with soft curves that cradle the body. Sizable seat supported by an aluminum base with both a 360 degree swivel and tilt function for optimal comfort.
The luxe beige cotton / chenille upholstery, which looks misleadingly pink in a few of the images, is original and shows only light wear from age / minor signs of wear (namely, two tiny spots to one of the arms). Upholstery has been cleaned and is ready to go.
Both chair and ottoman retain the Fritz Hansen / Arne Jacobsen 1999 / Knoll Studios / Danish Control labels.

Arne Vodder for Sibast Tambour-Door Teak Credenza Model 37

1950s Danish modern teak credenza (model 37) designed by Arne Vodder for Sibast Møbler. Composed of a teak frame with two tambour doors with recessed pulls that slide open to reveal a total of four adjustable shelves (three shorter on the right side and one long on the left) flanked by two shallow drawers in Vodder’s signature ‘bowtie’ form. Finished on both sides and can be used as a room divider. Retains both Danish control tag and “Sibast Furniture Made in Denmark” metal medallion. Expertly refinished condition; only minor wear remains.

Arne Vodder Teak Credenza with Reversible Doors

This impressive teak sideboard was designed in the 1950s by Arne Vodder for Sibast Mobler (Model 29A). It features seven ‘bowtie’ drawers with recessed pulls, two reversible doors (finished black on one side, teak on the other) and a drop down locking cabinet with a black interior and adjustable shelf. The reversible doors offer three different configurations, depending on the preferred aesthetic: one black / one teak, two teak, and two black doors, respectively. Finished on all sides, including the back. Includes the original key.

Condition Notes: Excellent. One spot of discoloration on one of the black side door fronts (faint). otherwise, excellent condition.

Art Deco Austrian Banker’s Lamp by Astral

Adjustable workshop / banker’s lamp by Astral (Austria circa late 1930s – early 1940s) featuring a cast metal base / stem and porcelain enameled-metal green shade. Shade and stem are adjustable (height can only be adjusted at an angle as shown, not straight up and down). Nice condition for the age with spots of enamel loss to the outside and inside of the shade. Measures: Height can be adjusted from 5.75″ to 19.25″ Depth can be adjusted from 6.75″ to 18″ Length (shade length): 10″.

Compact piece, ideal for smaller rooms with space limitations. Stools are neatly stored under the table until required.
Conservatively refinished condition — wear remains (scuffs to the birch surface and spotting to the seats, as shown).

Arthur Umanoff for Raymor Iron and Birch-Slat Bar with Stools

Arthur Umanoff bar with two corresponding stools. The stools feature fixed slatted-birchwood seats atop wrought iron bases. Sculptural, unique-form foot rests add striking contrast to an otherwise modest form. (The simple slatted stools are uncommonly seen with this base.)
The bar shares the same sculpted foot rest and birch slat composition and features a newly restored aluminum-framed laminate top. One side is open storage divided by one fixed-shelf. Nice patina / light wear consistent with age (light scuffs to the birch and painted iron). Overall, very nice condition for its age.

Unique, graceful pyramid/obelisk-form with four rectangular shelves in faux wood grain laminated pressboard and a rattan basket. Shelves are mounted by screws and can be removed, if a different shelving material is preferred.
Practical, aesthetically pleasing storage/display solution occupying a small footprint.
Good, vintage condition with losses to the shelves, as shown. Remains a visually stunning, structurally sound, rare design by Umanoff. All original condition including all parts (note that the vacant space at the top was designed without a shelf, evidenced by the absence of ‘ledge’ on which the other shelves rest).

Original caster wheels.
Fully restored condition (including the masonite panels and painted laminate surface). Minimal wear and discoloration remain (namely, the darkening to the wood from metal nail oxidation over time).
