Pair of Jacques Quinet Occasional Chairs in Leather and Mahogany
Exceptional pair of Jacques Quinet occasional or dining chairs made in 1957 for the Chamber of Commerce de La Rochelle. Quinet worked a lot for the Mobilier National – the prestigious French government body known for selecting and commissioning the best artists to furnish public spaces.
This pair retains their original leather and ‘L’ brass sabots (a signature attribute of Quinet). Very nice condition with only minor wear consistent with age (namely, one streak to the leather of one of the seat backs).
