$950.00Beautiful, minimal set of Mid-Century Modern fire tools and carrier with carved walnut handles and brass accents. Set is often attributed to Arthur Umanoff, but no supporting documentation has been identified.
Includes the tripod base carrier, poker, brush, and shovel.
The walnut has been conservatively refinished, but wear remain (marks/scuffs) along with tarnish to the unpolished brass. Overall, the set is in very good, vintage condition.

1950s American modern fire tool set composed of an iron broom, dustpan and poker, all with stained ash stems and original cane-wrapped handles with ebony leather loops. Includes the original painted wrought iron holder.
Paint has been touched up, wood has been refinished, leather is intact, and the paper cord remains in excellent, original condition.

This pair of early 20th Century Andirons is composed of cast iron owls on arched branch uprights fitted to billet bars. The glass amber eyes are nicely contrasted by the black cast iron. All the hardware and parts (screws, glass eyes, etc. ) are original; no parts have been replaced. Excellent condition for the age; minor wear in spots to the owl uprights.

Pair of andirons (circa 1930s, USA) composed of cast iron owls on arched branch uprights fitted to billet bars. The glass amber eyes with black pupils, which glow when placed in front of a fire, are nicely contrasted by the dark brown cast iron.
Billet bars show rust/heavy wear from age/use. The owls themselves are in excellent, restored condition sans a scuff to one of the glass eyes.

Vintage Cast Iron Perched Owl Andirons with Blue Green Glass Eyes

Billet bars show rust/wear from age/use. The owls themselves are in excellent, restored condition. There are naturally occurring flaws (bubbles/spots) within the glass itself.

Vintage Patinated Brass Sculptural Andirons by Donald Deskey
$2,500.00Sculptural blade-form andirons designed by Donald Deskey (ca. 1959, USA).
Inspired by Samuel Gottscho’s 1939 “Trylon and Perisphere” exhibited at the 1939 World’s Fair, the bulbous, orb-form iron bases are contrasted by the sharp, streamlined blades/uprights.
Rich, natural patina to the unpolished brass along with light scuffing, as shown. Polishing will eradicate most of the wear.
