Vintage pop art ceramic tank top/t shirt tabletop sculpture/vase by Michael Harvey (ca. 1980s, Canada).
Perhaps the most playful of Harvey’s trompe-l’œil ceramics, this design uses a matte and textural bisque ceramic (argile) to mimic worn cotton.
The tag bearing the artist’s signature includes washing instructions – no detail from the folds to the seams to the label were overlooked in the artist’s mission to present a realistic imitation of the subject (only smaller in scale and ceramic).
Very good, vintage condition.
