Vintage Slate and Teakwood Studio Craft Table Lamp by Harspwell House
$950.00
Vintage table lamp in slate and teak by Harpswell House (ca. 1960s, Brunswick, Maine, USA).
Features a rectangular column of inlaid ‘300 million year old’ black slate with teakwood trim surmounted by a teak neck/stem.
Handsome, studio craft piece in the New Hope Style of woodworkers including Phillip Lloyd Powell and Emil Milan, who crafted minimalistic designs from indigenous woods to showcase the materials. The modest form of the lamp pairs nicely with the vibrant grain of the wood and the sleek color and material contrast of the slate.
Very good, vintage condition; light dimpling is naturally occurring in the slate itself and not a defect/flaw.
Shade is included, though not original to the lamp.
Retains the manufacturer’s tag to the reverse.
