Set of Four Vintage Steel and Walnut Stacking Tables Attributed to Tony Paul

$1,600.00

Set of four vintage stacking tables attributed to Tony Paul’s “Tempo Group” model #800 for Woodlin-Hall (ca. 1950s, USA).
Composed of 8.5″ in diameter walnut plywood round beveled surfaces supported by tripod bases with slender, splayed legs.
The legs were previously lacquered gold, as evidenced by the mount on the underside, though retain little to no original paint.
There is a bracket on each table for coaster/ashtray placement, a defining feature of Tony Paul’s “Tempo” tables.
Potentially, a prototypical design, as there are design differences between these and documented examples (feet are flared, not straight and do not feature the ball embellishments as seen in other examples. Additionally, the wood is walnut plywood, not ash).
Good, newly refinished condition – wear remains: one surface has ring wear and light edge scuffs/loss, and the steel legs show oxidation.
Each measures – H: 16″ x L: 12″ x D: 11.25″
Walnut surfaces are 8.5″ in diameter.
