Pair of stylish, minimal brass and iron andirons (ca. 1950s, France).
Composed of polished brass ‘ball’ or ‘orb’ finials surmounting angular uprights attached to iron billet bars.
Overall, the set is in nice, vintage condition: brass has been polished but light wear remains (light scuffs, few indentations), and bars show patina and minor oxidation from age/use.
Additionally, due to the hand-forged nature, there is a slight disparity between the two, as the bars are crudely formed and irregularly shaped.
