Midcentury Walnut and Leather Daybed / Settee by Mel Smilow
Daybed / settee designed by Mel Smilow for Smilow-Thielle in the 1950s. Solid walnut construction with newly upholstered Ralph Lauren leather cushions featuring button-tufted detail. Additionally, a Ralph Lauren brown suede lining has been fitted to cover the springs in order to protect the bottom of the cushion from scratches / scuffs. Sharp, sleek lines defined by the dramatically contoured legs and back frame. The original steel straps and metal springs are sound. Walnut has been refinished; only minor wear remains.

75″ L x 30.5″ D x 29.5″ H (Height to back of the frame without back cushion is 26.5″) x seat height 17″.
