1970s Kinetic ‘Yes Man’ Sculpture by Gordon Bradt

This whimsical Kinetic sculpture was made in the mid 1970s by artist and engineer, Gordon Bradt for Kinetico Studios . Unlike many examples of Bradt’s later works (particularly his sports figures), the ‘Yes Man’ sculpture was made in a limited production and is scarcely seen. It is comprised of a motorized metal base with a rotating receptacle where the wire ‘face’ is inserted. The spectacles are soldered to the bent wire face, and when the sculpture is assembled and plugged in, the head bobs up and down (as to nod ‘yes’).
4.5″ is the width of the base and the spectacles.
